I am currently working on a clothing line! I would be very happy if i could have people give me advise and pointers about the t-shirt game! i currently have 5 designs and i just found where i will be getting them made. I would like to know should i buy shirts from somewhere and bring them to get them printed on or just get them there. I currently dont have a name. I think that is the hardest thing because i want a multi-million dollar clothing line. I have been using photoshop for a little bit and It seems to be going good! So can anybody point me in the right direction by wisdom or what not it would be highly appreciated! thank you!

Great!!!! What experience do you have in the fashion industry?? Do you have a sales team?? Which look are you going after?? What kind of trade shows are you plan on doing?? What kind of financial backing would you have?? These are the most of the important questions that you will be asking through out the life of the t-shirt business before you can make your first million. Good Luck :)

Maybe you should put some samples made and show them to a local showroom. Do a lots of research before you jump into it. It will cost you about $250~$500/month in showroom fee. And of course, it will cost you 8%~10% in commision after the sale. If you don't have the finance to do this business, advise you to get a job in the showroom or manufacture to gain more experiance. It is not easy as you think it is. I've seen many young guy fail. EXPERIANCE IS EVERYTHING IN THIS BUSINESS. Good Luck ;)

Get your shirts made, choose a name for your business, get your plan in place, and in the meantime, use this forum to help you research how to get your shirts out there. You could always use one of the many online fulfillment services. They are a great low to no risk way for you to get an apparel site online. This way you can test your marketing skills and see if your designs are going to really be sellers. If all works well then you know it is worth your effort to move forward with the manufacturing stage of your business. I find these services to be great tools for you to use as you try to develop a brand without going broke in the process. Like I said If your designs start selling you know you have something worth moving forward with, plus you will be making money already and will have already developed a fallowing with little to no out of pocket expenses.
