Here's samples of what some of my designs will look like with all-over printing. All designs are created with Illustrator (vectors), I used Photoshop to create the mockups.

As you can tell these designs are specifically made for the Mixed Martial Arts Industry (Affliction, Warrior, TapouT, etc.) I do have a bunch of other designs that does not require this type of printing, which is a good thing because after talking with printers I am finally realizing how expensive this type of printing can be :D !!!

So for now, until I can find some investors, hit the lottery (wait there's no lottery here in hawaii) or land a rich client this type of printing will have to wait.

What you guys think of the designs??

Sublimination will only work on light color shirts, it will not work on dark shirts, so I am not sure how well it would do for you, as you have alot of darker color shirts.

I have to admit I like your work. Im a designer myself and Im just amazed by the quality of your designs.

One question I might ask (Sorry) : Do you use any stocks (vectors) or do you draw everything out ?
I use a lot of stock which I usually edit it to make it work with the layout - some of it is also my own converted vectors and drawn pieces in Illustrator :D

I do have a lot of darker shirts, do you know of any companies that offer sublimation printing? I would like to check their pricing, if I have to go the lighter shirt route then I'll just do it for now.

Hmm I know there are several members here that do sublimination. It would be best to post a thread in the referrals section of the forum as members are not allowed to offer their services in the regular thread areas. If you post a thread there make sure to list details such as what you are looking for, approximately how many shirts you are looking to get printed and your location. That will give them more of an idea of whether they can do the job, or recommend someone who can. Hope this helps :)

I think straight oversized screen printing is the way to go. You do have a lot of over the seam and wrap around situations to deal with. I dont know how well that is accomplished with oversized printing so maybe you are going to have to print before the tees are sewn.

Probably something everyone should consider when designing tees. How am I gonna have this thing manufactured? Being on a budget can determine everything you do and may save a bunch of headaches down the road. I think you have already figured out this type of printing isnt low budget.

I like your work. See if you can pull them back a bit so you can afford to get a couple printed.

Where were you when everyone was telling some kid to "go for it " without him even knowing what it might take to do the job , You need to hang around more .;)

I try the best I can but we all make mistakes...I plenty. Best thing is the art is on target for your market. Better than the stock transfers I have seen for your target.

Go online and start looking for oversized screen printers. Business is slow right now with this economic situation so you might be able to talk your way into a great deal.

Post a classified right here on this forum and see if somebody here will print your work. There are many more screeners qualified to answer exact oversized print questions so hang in there. There is also a screen printers forum. Check out craigslist in your area, screeners always post deals in those ads.

Thanks Motoskingraphix and Sunnydayz for the info.

I found this link on this site: Heat transfer paper, tutorials and heat presses to start a business I'll try and give them a buzz.

Initially my plans was to not do the all-over printing because 1) no one here in Hawaii does this type of printing and 2) it was expensive - you can see the non-all-over printing shirts here . I was hoping I could get people in the industry interested in something more "simple" and although some really liked it I did get people asking me about the Affliction style printing so I was sort of forced to look at these other printing options.

The good thing is I do have some investors interested so I may be able to afford it soon, at this point I just need to find a reliable printer.

BTW, what about heat transfers would that work with this type of printing?

Thanks again TSF!!

A DTG printer would do the type of prints you are doing very well. You would just need to have a really wide DTG printer for all over printing. Printing on seams wouldn't be any problem for a DTG printer to do. I print with a DTG printer but I can only go 13 inches wide by 20 inches long. Printing your items with a DTG printer will be about half the cost of printing sublimation. I'm working on a 44 inch wide model but will probably be a month till I get that one up and running.

I totally agree that you have put alot of work into those shirts, and I also would wear, one,, Hey i know you want to get these printed,, but what if you went to tapout and some of those other companies, and made your design work known there and sell them some designs to get some cash till you get all your info together,, what ever you do,, do it now,, as the trends change so fast, and this design is hot hot hot now,,,,,,,
Just a thought;)

I thought of that but most times they would want it to fall under their brand but a different line, say TapouT's "Complete Fighter" line, I would like to try and get these out myself even if I have to beg for investors - LOL!

Thanks TSF again for the input on my shirts.

BTW, if I shrink the designs where it is not so over-sized on the shirts would it help with the cost? I'm a designer by trade, and as you can tell this whole "shirt printing" thing is new to me. I'd appreciate any suggestions and information you guys got.

Thanks again!
