Greetings, I am trying to vectorize some artwork using Illustrator CS5, i usually get a decent image with live trace or I have to send it to a graphic designer to vectorize, but recently am having alot issues when trying to vectorize multiple colors.

In the attached image i am trying to have the color white=shirt color, the black=silver, the pink=pink.

Sometimes i can images like this to work, but sometimes when i go to cut it (I designer with Graphtec CE cutter) the "white color" lays on top of the "black color" in the image, instead of recognizing the 'white color' in the image as no color (shirt color) or what not.

Any tips i can tell the people when designing (they are novices too) to avoid the colors laying on top of each other?
And since this was created in Illustrator why isn't it already vectorized?

What are you using it for?.....I been at the many years and would not attempt to vectorize it myself....This is something I would send out...
I have a customer who wants 6 of these vinyl, and maybe in the "near future" several dozens.....I thought i would knock it out today but it slipped my mind that the artwork needed "attention"

If you could post a link to your illustrator files I would glad to take a look at it, I've been vectorizing and cutting vinyl for 15 years now.

thats because Illustrator files can contain rastor images as well as vector objects
ok i understand , it won't let me upload an .AI file and when i try to make it an .EPS it keep saying it's too big.
