I just upgraded to a Conveyor belt dryer - up till now I've been using a flash unit and a laser temp gun.

I bought some temperature strips to send through the dryer - the directions say whichever highest temp square is black...

So is this saying that my temp is at 310? It's the only one that turned solid black, I would think the lesser temps would also turn black - but even the 330 is showing a little bit.

I assume with a belt dryer I want it to come out at about 320, right?

Hi, yes, I'd say that you're reading that correctly. (I use a temp gun)
Even though most inks are going to require a 320 all through the ink to fully cure, you want your dryer to run hotter than that. Remember that you can also speed up or slow down your converyor belt in the senerio to adjust.
I have to say that a temp gun is so helpful to have.
If you have a Harbor Freight near you they often have really cheap deals on them.
