I have a large job next week. I am printing two styles but similar design. This print I am showing is for two separate teams. Only the top logo will change between the two teams.

On the first design all the logos will be the same except for the top logo. It will be something more bold like the other side and bottom logos you see. I will use a 110mesh.

On the second design,( the attachment.) For the most part all the logos can get a 110 mesh, But that top design probably wont hold in a 110. Should I use a 125 or 156?

And what happens to the other designs in a 125 or 156? I know They print well on a 110. But what happens now that I have to use something for finer detail for just that one logo? Will I need a different technique? These are white prints on green, red, grey, blue shirts.

Thanks for the insight. You would even use a 156 where I am using a 110?

yeah i do not use 110's for anything...i do not even own any...i would use 156 on all of it but if you have a 200 or 230 that may be better for the fine parts of the print as InkedApparel has said. I think it all will hold in a 156 but to be on the safe side i would use at least a 200...

I dont own any 110 either...the lowest mesh count I have is 125 and that is for white underbase only.!!!!!!

I print most everything through a 230 mesh , sometiimes a 200 .

Inked

yeah i only have some 156's and a couple 200's i think i will order some 305's cause i want to get into 4 color process...

i have only 140,160,200...I use 140 and 160 for white ink and 1 color jobs..i use my 200 for detailed jobs with half tones or if the customer wants a nice soft print..but that is my personal preference...every screen printer knows and uses what they like :)

You guys are no fun--86's are great. Plus you can say you eighty-sixed the print. Although I guess they wouldn't be good for this print. :)

It would be very important to list the *size* you are printing this. If it's a three inch wide chest, I'd say use a 305. If it's a full size print, anything count from 156-230 should work, if done properly.

Thanks everyone. It is a 9x9 print. I guess I will try a 156 and see how it goes. I was getting smooth prints even with a 110 because I use my heat press to cure. It left the image smooth like butter once cured.

One day I will upgrade. Looking for a store front now. The other parts of my business are picking up. I am such a noobie at this. But I am learning and hope to expand as I go.
