I am having problems with my brother gt-541 ink stripes. When it prints it leaves stripes in the picture. Someone has told me that this has to do with humidity but i have a humidifier on in this room all the time. This is becoming a big problem and is happening every time i turn the machine on. Please help!!!

stripes usually mean you need to clean your printer. your printer should have a self cleaning mode. run the cleaning and you should be fine.

I clean it after every 24 prints and also i have done several heavy cleanings hoping this would help and it works on the next shirt and then it goes back the way it was.

Do you have an image you can post displaying what's happening, or at least a better description of your "stripes".

For example, my printer had an issue where occasionally a black line going across my regular colored image (which wasn't black), this was caused by some fiber buildup on the side of the head.

If ink is old will it cause heads to clog?
I am also getting stripes and have to do a clean heads after 10 or so shirts
I am just starting to use it again after moving e times in 2 years.

I live in a very dry place. Humidity is very important. I let my machine sit for a week in the winter and had to replace a print head. If this is the case you will have to clean the head very well with the cleaning kit. Maybe try soaking the head in solution and clean again. There is a cleaning cartridge you can try. You may have to replace the head if none of this works. Use your machine regularly! Just print any print each day or two for safety.

Do you have a pic of the "stripes" you are getting. I also have a brother but have never had a problem with stripes? I did have to replace a printhead (not sure why) but it is a great machine and have never had any problems other than that. I have left mine off for over a month and it prints great each time so I am not sure why you would have to do a clean everyday or after 10 shirts.
