hello i have a roland GX 24 and it cutts pretty well but i do have trouble with cutting fine detail what my problem is mostly corner the cutter kinda peels up the corner a bit i know that my blade is dull and need to order a new one but dont know what angle blade i need does any one have any ideas ?

45 or 60 will work. I prefer using 60 degree blades as I seem to be able to cut finer detail with a 60 degree then a 45.

If you look up the manufacturers website. They have a recommended angle for their specific material. Try looking on thermoflexes website.

I believe the standard angle for most roland machines is 45 degrees, Again some specialty material manufacturers recommend different angles for their products. I rarely switch blades my self. So if in doubt go with the 45 Degree blade.

I use a 45 for most vinyl, but use a 65 for all thermal vinyl. Cleancut blades are what I use & they outlast any blades I have ever bought from the manufacter or from eBay. Good Luck.

I use a 45 blade for all applications with vinyl or thermoflex. Sharp blades are a cutters best friend.

Some other things may consider are changing out the cutting strip ($18) or changing your offset in the conditions menu - the offset for a 45 degree blade should be .25 on the roland.

If these changes don't work try increasing your downforce or changing your blade holder out (approx. $90)

Josh, are there any 'standards' for offset for particular blades and materials you can publish?

....and slow the speed down some. The down force is another thing. It seems that the older the blade the more force is needed,as per my boss. More force also means lager blade profile. So the detail well not cut at some point.
