Hello,

I currently am using a silhouette for my vinyl cutting needs. However, it leaves a lot of waste as the vinyl is not cut to fit this sized cutter. I am using it so much that it almost can not keep up. SO I have been looking at cutters, but have no idea where to start. I do not know the first thing about any of them. I do not have a large enough volume to justify the excessively large ones, but not really sure which is a good cutter and reliable?

It will mainly be used for heat press vinyl and occasionally sticky flock for rhinestone transfers. So I know I need the 180 rotating blade ( at least that is what I understand), just not sure about any of it. Its a big purchase and do not want to regret it later.

One of the cutters that may meet your needs would be the Graphtec CE6000. It has tangential emulation that can be turned on/off for helping complete corners and shapes on thicker materials (lifts blade holder at corners) and it also has an overcut feature that may be helpful for thick and also stretchy material. Its a 24" wide unit and there is also a less expensive 15" wide unit that may serve your needs...I do recommend the 24" wide unit since a lot of the materials you will want to cut are offered in 20" wide rolls.

The GCC Puma would also be another option at a budget price point for a 24" model with a similar feature set but in my opinion the Graphtec is a little more intuitive and easier to pick up for a
beginner.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
