I'm opening up a small operation and need help on what kinda laser printer to buy. I've read a few post saying the oki c5500 was best but I was wondering about the Oki c330dn,*Oki b6500n, oki c6100n or even if anyone knows of a better one? The transfer paper we found doesn't have to be cut if you use a laser printer? So I guess that's my best option? Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
I use a HP 5200. It goes up to 11 x 17. For smaller stuff I use HP 1120. it goes up to 8.5 x 14. They just print black. I've been using them for years. lots of prints from one cartaridge. I use Casey's Better Than Vellum.
Ok thanks. I actually ended up going with the oki 610 so well see how it goes. Do you know of any good computer programs for a Mac that I can use to clean up images and alter them?
Chad....I think you made a good choice...I bought the same...some time ago...reason being that all of the major vendors of transfers etc at trade shows all used the Okidata printers
Could anyone tell me which is better. Adobe illustrator or adobe Photoshop for mac? I need something to clean up photos to be printed on transfer paper.
Illustrator is a VECTOR based drawing program. Photoshop is PHOTO enhancement program. Sounds like you should go with Photoshop.....and why not look at Photoshop Elements. Shoul do just fine for you
