Help!!! What do you think?

2841 Views 20 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  CUSTOM UK
I have recently started my business and use mostly the dye sublimation. However, I have an order for some kelly green shirts with white ink and I do not think I will be able to sublimate on this color let alone get white ink.

I do not screen print and I want the feel to be as close to sublimation as possible.

Any ideas what I can do?

I would greatly appreciate your help. I need to get these done within 2 weeks.

Thanks!

Your best bet is going to be dtg since there is no white ink for sublimation.
Hope that helps a little
I would consider plastisol transfer. I have got som that are really smooth and have no hand at all. .... JB
I'd agree with JB, plastisol transfer would probably be your best bet
There is no such thing as white ink in sublimation.

I thought a white sublimation ink was introduced by Sawgrass at the Long Beach show in July? ......JB
It was white ink for the Direct Advantage....not for the Artainium inks

Ok and Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering if you have heard of any plans of development for white sublimation ink ? ..... JB
Thanks Sonya ( I now look to make sure you're not David :) ) I thought that was the case also.
You are welcome....no , I haven't heard of any white sublimation ink coming out. Oh, on another topic...I was going to post a thread. Ya'll don't forget to stock up Hanes Soft Link shirts. Conde DOES still carry the Soft link shirts.
Thanks...David taught me everything I know....in return I have been trying to teach about horses....especially racehorses...lol.

Are you anticipating a shortage or are you just letting us know you still carry SoftLink?
Just letting you know that Conde is still carrying them.

They are not making them any longer

I guess that means there will be a shortage:) I guess we'll be switching to Vapor Tees.

Yea I would certainly call that a shortage.:)
How long have you been doing sublimation? We don't do many shirts anymore since we have the dtg but still do the coffee mugs and the other stuff
Fortunately there is still a supplier here in Europe making a similar shirt to the Hanes Soft Link.

The Vapor are expensive for what they are. The moisture wicking is only any benefit if you are partaking in any type of sports activity, or filling in your annual tax returns. :)
4 years or so. Shirts are a very small portion of the business. We probably have a 6 month supply of SoftLink on hand right now.
