[HELP] What causes this type of print quality? Pictures inside.

Hi all,

Please see attached some pictures I took of my t-shirts :

First pic (pink shirt) is one I got from a fashion store some years back.
Notice how SHARP and CRISP the words are.

Second pic (the white shirt with brown words), in contrast, the edges of the words look blurry and just not as sharp as the first.

The pink t-shirt in first pic, I'm not sure what's the type as it's not listed anywhere and tagless. Not sure about the printing method too.
The 2nd t-shirt (white one) is a 100% cotton Anvil Lightweight t-shirt (Anvil 980 I believe), using DTG printing.

Question is : what causes the less-than-crisp issues in the 2nd pic, assuming the image used is already a high-res 300 DPI image?
