Hey, trying to perfect the art of sublimating some brass tags. They're about 1"x3" and maybe an eighth thick. We've tried a ton of different things. Putting them in the heat press with paper side up, paper side down, more pressure, less pressure, more heat, less heat, more time, less time, and combinations of them all. The majority seem to come out with the orange peel look. The best results so far come from using around 380 degrees for around a minute with paper side down. A lot of them come out nearly perfect when done like this individually, but with a LOTTTT to do, we're trying to sublimate a number of them at once. When we start putting more than 1 or 2 on the heat press at a time, it doesn't work out so well. Even with just 4, one will be perfect, one will be too light (ink didn't absorb completely), and 2 will have orange peel look to them. The orange peel look doesn't look good at all and we have to go back over these individually and remove it, we use nevr-dull and it works pretty well for the most part, but having to handle so many of them multiple times is time consuming as opposed to just pressing and packaging. ANY help or advice would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has done this with good results, I'd be so grateful to hear about what you did. Even if you guys wanna just throw some ideas at me, I would be grateful.
