when I print the films i'm not getting the shadow(the grey area)on the film
what should I do or how should I separate it?

You are working in CorelDraw? You probably used a %gray CMYK for the gray instead of a Pantone spot color.

The grey areas look like a spot color, not a fading shade so for me that’s a standard 3 color spot separation.

Well, if you plan to print it with 3 screens / 3 colors, then no, there would be nothing to halftone. You don't even need to use SimpleSeps. Just print it out of the Corel print dialog since each spot/Pantone will print as it's own sheet.

However, if you were trying to get the job down to 2 screens / 2 colors by printing the gray as a halftone of black dots, then use SimpleSeps to halftone the gray (or just do it directly in Corel).
