Hello all I an new to the vinyl scene looking to start making decals, t shirts and rhinestone shirts. Any advice is welcomed.

One question for all I have a chance to pick up a Roland CX-24 for $450 or a Roland GX-24 with a little vinyl and extras for 1500 or a Stika sv15 with extras for 800. Keep In mind im on a budget leaning towards the CX any thoughts?

Yes. .... The CX 24 is older might have issues with newer Windows. I would not do the Sitka either. The Roland GX 24 is a quality machine especially for beginning and for decals. The Roland software is the absolute easiest to do contour cutting. One thing I would advise get 60º from Clean Cut Blade when doing rhinestones. Also for stoning use sticky flock or similar. The Roland max down force is 250, but it has a servo motor which is the best kind. There is a new line of cutters out that appears to be catching on with various units and they appear to be offering an up grade trade in for higher units if your business requires

The Stika isn't bad but just cannot handle wider materials.

I used (and still have) a Stika SX12. Was very reliable and cut fine but size limited.

The Roland GX-24 or some of the other 24" cutters will do you better in the long run.
