I want to print an image with text above it on a light coloured shirt ... the image needs an underbase as there is white in the image, however I dont want to put underbase under the text .... I have done it in photoshop 2 layers and have rasterized the text, transparent background ... any advice would be greatly received

From J in our Support Department:

To work with the two different media types. You will most likely import these as two different files. Your text, and then the image itself.

Importing the two pieces seperatly will allow you greater control when importing raster files and whether or not you want apply an underbase to the artwork.

Also you could simply import the items that are not text and create your text in the Artist software.

Our Support Department techs are there for you. I'm sure others are interested so here is the procedure Justin suggested:

What we did was create two different pieces of artwork, one that was a PSD with just the text and a 2nd file that was the graphic itself.

Saved as two different files and imported into the artist software.

Make sure that "Merge" is checked and it will allow you to import both pieces and place them where you want too. Also allowing you to maniuplate or apply underbases at will to the two different images.
