Hey there pals .. I am very new to this forum
I have an Epson 9800 stylus pro printer in my shop, I use it mainly for photo and canvas stuff, I still use the original K3 ultra chrome inks, I have a ciss bulk ink system from korea but i have not been using it yet and a set of 2 liters of pigment inks .. and also I have a simple 20x30 heat press machine ... my question is that what do I need to start the t-shirt making process,
what type of inks, paper, or any other materials requested for this process ... thank you

note .. please help me because I need this exchange in my shop the photo and canvas market here is not convenient ... thanks again

When you cay "from Korea" do you mean you got the cheapest one you could find off eBay and it was import-drop-shipped? Or are you located in Asia?

If the answer to the first question is yes, you should probably throw it out. You have no clue as to the quality of the CIS or the inks. You risk having the CIS leak all over, having bad quality ink not last more than a few washings, or worst case scenario, clog your printer, possibly fatally.

Most people here use Cobra for their inks and CIS. I have no experience with them personally. There are many other refill companies based in the US who also sell quality products, and more importantly, support them.

If the answer to the second question is yes, then you should probably mention your location and see if anyone else in your country has bought the same system.

Dear Fenrir ... thank you for reply ... I have bought the inks system and inks from Lebanon and it is supposed to be very good and it cost me 1400$ (ciss and 1liter of each color )and I got it from a reliable person who is an epson dealer who have sold me the printer at the first time, also he supports me with the printing materials like rolls ... so I dont think the kit is one of the bad kits... my question was what shall I have to start the T-shirt business even if I have to get an A2 or A3 printer what R the options and what type of inks should I use .. is it OK to use the pigments or I have to switch to sublimation inks ... thank you ;)

OK. A lot of people here buy very cheap systems from eBay where you don't know who made the system or ink and have a lot of trouble with it. If you got it from a dealer, it's probably good!

I wouldn't be able to tell you much about transfers though, since I don't know what products are available where you are. Maybe someone else on the forum is more familiar with your location. Here in the US most people use JPSS (Jet Pro) paper with pigment inks for regular transfers on cotton or cotton/polyester shirts. Dye sublimation requires a different inks and paper and only works on 100% polyester. Since you already have pigment inks you will probably want to find paper that works with them instead of switching to dye sublimation inks. If your dealer sells transfer papers, then maybe he can suggest one that will work with your printer.
