My name is Terry, I am new to this forum and to T-shirt printing although i have been in screen print for 15+years. I have acquired a Hopkins 6/4, it came with a flash dryer which is heated with a oven like element. I am after a tunnel dryer but not sure which to go for. I was at 1st going for a oven from screenprint.com which uses a oven like heat, i was advised to steer clear of this and pointed in the direction of panther which is ceramic heat (i think). This morning i have had contact from someone selling a machine which produces Black heat but only has a 18" conveyor. Looking to hear from any advice and the difference between the 3 different heats.

I run a Vastex econo red 2, it is small and works great.

I would choose an 8ft conveyor minimum with a minimum of 24" wide belt, check out Used embroidery machines, screen printing equipment, digitizing software for some used units. Some good names are M&R, Vastex, Hix (dryers only), Black Body, we have a 12' Chapparel which I like alot. There are other good ones out there as well.
Depending on what type of power is running to your shop, you'll probebly want something Single phase.

Is the Vastex the same as the printa 770? I have someone near to me selling one he asking £900. Do you think this is good. When i google printa 770, links come for the vastex dryers.

No, the printa 770 is an all in one system. It's not even a conveyor dryer.

It looks like a conveyer from the pics i have seen, it says printa 770 series IC on the side, i think it was imported fron US
