I am really new to using corel draw x5. i have a customer that has sent me a file in both .pdf and in .ai. My corel will not read the .ai file, it keeps sending me to the internet to purchase photoshop. The .pdf will open but it is in bitmaps. I tried to do the trace line art but I am losing details in the image.

How do I go about getting this in a vector format...cdr or .eps so i can use this file. If someone could walk me through this, or if I could send the file to someone so they could quickly change and send it back I would SO APPRECIATE it!!

HELP...please!

The .ai should vector. You can get a trial of Illistrator although Corel should open the .ai file depending of effects and other techniques used might not be great results. Download Illistrator. Export or save as .eps or editable PDF then open in Corel.

It worked...thank you so much for your help. I am so glad to have access to experienced people who are so willing to help those of us that are much less experienced. Much appreciated.
