I have this image that was sent to me and I need to make a vector file out of it. Actually I need to make an svg file because my computer with everything on it crashed and my laptop only has inkscape on it. When I goto trace this image in inkscape it keeps tracing the waves all strange. I think it is because the image is so small. Can anyone help???

That shouldn't be too hard to reproduce. If nothing else, enlarge and print it, trace it, then scan, reduce back to desired size.Shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes. God Bless.
