I bought a Maxx Heat Press 16'' by 20'' in March, have only used it a handfull of times and it just broke midway through my first t-shirt order that is due today.

underneath the plate (the part that you place the tshirt) there was a plastic piece that elevated that plate and secured it in. I was pressing a shirt and it cracked and shattered. I have no idea why this happened. It is a new press and I havent had it for long at all or used it in high volumes. I will upload pics for a better description but if anyone has any ideas what i can do or why this happened please let me know asap!

 thanks in advance

Nope, I got it from Coastal Business Supplies. I am going to email the person that I was dealing with but it has put me in a pretty bad situation. Any ideas what went wrong?

I managed to put some books underneath to support the plate (yes, very backyarder of me) and it has just managed to get me through a couple more but the press does not click in and as a result does not time or have the desired pressure.

Very disappointing! I thought stahls were a very reputable brand.

I cannot say what went wrong with the press unfortunately without it coming back.

I am very sorry to hear about this happening to you! The press was purchased in March, so it is definately under warranty.

Let me know what Coastal says regarding this. Feel free to email me direct at [email protected], and I will do all I can to help you with this. The first step would be to go to Coastal and see what they say since you purchased it from them.

Please keep in touch as I want to see this through to a resolution.

Best Regards.

Thanks for that Nick! I didn't realise you were a Stahls representative. I have gotten in contact with Coastal, I'm not too worried because they were fantastic the first time I dealt with them, the only problem being that I live in Australia and the shipping from the US to here was very high ($300+ one way). Also, I am in the middle of my first order of t-shirts and am struggling to complete it because I can’t get any pressure from the press, nor can I secure the base.
