Hi Guys,

Normally I would not bother you all with a stupid thing like this, BUT this time I am stumped. My Roland kicked the bucket and I rushed out and got a Creation Kingcut PRO II from ebay, link below

★★★ Creation Kingcut PRO II 730mm Quality Vinyl Cutter Cutting Machine NS ★★★ | eBay

So I am running windows 7 64 bit with USB connection and do you think I can get it loaded on my computer after a week at it......NO!!!

The CD that came with it showed a virus on the CD so I canned it. Went to website and downloaded the drivers and they came up with a virus or adware also so scraped them. Got a clean copy and went to install, gets half way in and crashes. Try running in previous version of windows thru windows 7 and it crashes. USB to Serial port comes up and it is assigned to a COM port.

Read all the post on here and I mean ALL OF THEM. So I downloaded a few software choices mentioned in previous posts, signcut and setup using every single one of the creation models and nothing or crashes. Downloaded signtools 4 and it software goes to open and it says bootstrap has stopped working and crashes without loading.

Any help greatly appreciated or a point in the right direction.

Cheers Daniel

Hey there i had the same problem,
First of al its not the software you have to download.
you must run this on 32 bit windows 7.
ok if this is the problem how do I do a 32bit install.
I researched it a bit tonight and you can get a windows xp virtual program but that is not compatible with my home version.
Is there another way around it??

To save yourself a lot of heartbreak... The software for this cutter is intended to run on Windows XP. You might find a plugin for Corel Draw that will let you talk to the cutter using a different OS but installing any software that came with it -- even under Windows XP is a nightmare.

Have a look in your device manager or in control panel/devices and printers and see if it's listed as a camera (true!) If it is you need to get a utility from the manufacturer or perhaps from USCUTTER.COM who have a forum devoted to this beast.

I have never seen this cutter run successfully from it's supplied software under anything other than windows XP, 32 bit. There is a reason Roland cutters cost so much more than cheap ebay cutters. Its because you don't have problems with Rolands.

Even if you get it running you'll need ear protection if you plan on standing anywhere near the machine!

Good luck.
AJ

I got mine going yesterday, with no thanks to the company I bought it from. I am running XP. I had to go to the creation website, download their driver and discovered it's the exact same package as the useless disc, except, they didn't put everything in it. The part that was missing is exactly what I needed to get it going. Yes it is loud but until I can get more money, I will use it for now
