I just bought a Epson stylus pro 7000 .. mainly to print transparancies for my screenprinting business, and then use it to expand to other stuff soon (canvas, stickers, etc)

I bought all new inks for it .. hooked it up .. almost nothing .. only three colors sorta worked

I found some purge files .. now I have all 5 colors working decent EXCEPT black

I have no black at all .. ive run the head over a alcohol soaked paper towel multiple times .. other colors kept getting better, still no black

does anybody have experience with these printers

ive tried to print three 22" by 25" black squares with not even a tiny line of black showing up .. the black ink level is showing a tiny bit lower but didnt really move

could the line be clogged? or how should I go about maybe fixing this?

thanks in advance, Adrian

where would I get a new head for a stylus pro 7000?

I'm guessing its a pretty old printer

and how much is relatively cheap? .. lol .. paid $200 for the printer .. I'm tempted to sell it and buy a epson 1400 13" printer for $100-$150 to do what I need to do for now

I'm going to try and see if the tube is clogged or soaking it over night did anything

or another idea I had is to swap the black cartridge into the yellow slot, purge it, and just print everything in yellow (come out black) .. that is if all else fails

I would really like to get the black working and use the printer for other stuff too though

ok .. I took the ink line off the black damper .. theres a slow drip of blank ink, so im guessing everything is good from the cartridge to the head

can I remove the head and clean it, or how should I go about cleaning the head?
