Hi, I'm Joe and obviously I am new here. I am interested in printing t-shirts and other items but dont really know where to start. I guess i am basically looking for something to do with the kids and to possibly make a few extra bucks.

Silkscreeningsupplies.com offers great starter kits for around 200 dollars. There is also a machine called the yodu (sp) that is an all in one machine, never used it though. If your involving kids, depending on their age, I'd print screen print with water based inks, only because water based inks are easier to clean up and manage. You could also look into heat pressing with ordering transfers and then puting them on shirts with a press, it's clean and simple, only thing is you have a 350 degree press sitting out with small kids around, may not be a good idea

Hi Joe:

I am in the same space as you are. Just joined today and as of now, I would like to find a vendor who can print the shirts at a somewhat reasonable cost. The domestic vendors are way out of my range....any suggestions?

With the kids it's more for them then with them. I'd love to get a heat press. It I don't have that kind of money right now. I'll check that web site and look into the "yodu" thanks for the tips. I hope to start making some stuff soon.
