Hi folks,

Dean here from Scotland. I'm about to purchase my first ever Vinyl Cutter so I can print my own company's workwear, as hobby, and to possibly begin selling heat transfers and taking orders in my free time on a very small scale.

The forum has been a great resource so far - although I'm overwhelmed by all of the options out there. I'm looking for an entry level cutter to satisfy my very small scale trade for now, and if things decide to boom and I get hooked and decide to up the game - I'll upgrade to a more intermediate level machine.

I'm stuck between the Silhouette Cameo, and the UKCutter/PCut CT630H (with optical eye) which are both ideally my budget for now:

Any thoughts? My business logo to be printed has a block colour strip with small writing within the strip to be weeded out at 3mm height (arial bold or impact). Do you think both would suffice in cutting this small in detail? :)

Cheers,
Dean

Go with the uk cutter with optical eye. What software r u going to use? Thats as important as the cutter.
That's my next venture to find out what software you guys recommend (which will work with the UKCutter). It comes with SignCut Pro as a very cheap option at £14 subscription. Is this any good?

I do have CorelDRAW for graphic design also.
