Hello. Just a quick introduction of myself here. I am a 30 year old stay at home mom who started an etsy shop selling onesies. I sort of stumbled into this business, but it has been a success for me. I'm a very small operation, so my methods are probably very rudimentary compared to what some of you are doing!
I started out using freezer paper stencils and hand painting the onesies. When one of my designs became so popular that painting by hand no longer seemed feasible, I set up a little screen printing area in my basement. This basically consists of one screen, one squeegee, and basic inks I bought from blick.com. I don't have a dryer, so my onesies air-dry. I am looking for ways to improve my technique and also need advice on where to find the best inks for what I am doing. I'll be searching for answers to my questions on the forums and possibly posting some questions of my own if I can't find what I'm looking for in previous threads.
So that's me in a nutshell..... small business owner, trying to create the best quality product I can, and needing advice on how to do that.
Thanks!
Laura
