I am new to the busines.
I am in the planning stages.I am starting my business from home. for toddlers(boys and girls)/juniors girls.

I am hiring an artist for airbrush art on apparel and then I will embellish my apparel.
...I am looking for a well priced place to buy swarski crystals and transfer designs in both rhinestones rhinestuds,nailheads...etc...I have friends in NY who have businesses( i cant ask them questions about it)They purchased rhinestud designs for around 1-2 dollars. When i look for them i find they are at least 3-4 dollars for meduim sized designs. Does anyone know of a reliable place for purchases on crystals and design motifs?I have checked out zbsl.com. i like there things but they are higher priced than i think i should be paying.

regarding heat transfer machines..I am confused clam shell or swing away arm transfer machine? I have been told much about both. most people have clam shell and are reccoending i buy that.
Any info or advice on anyhting is greatly appreicated.

yikes...i think u mean clams. why do u prefer clams over swing. the company is trying to sell swing away .saying it is more effecient. less burning...etc

Sorry finger overload.
Space, they take up less room. We can fit more presses in the same space.
Cost, most are less expensive.
Extra motions to do the same task.

If you are doing tiles or other larger items then the swing will be better for you. We have always used the clam and are used to it. Maybe it would be different if we began using swingaways.

The problem with Saworski crystal, although they are beautiful, is that they are very expensive. How do you plan to set the stones. We thougth about all the methods that are currently used on the forum and decided to buy a CAMMS robotic rhinestone setter. If you plan on doing multi-color designs of over 400+ stones check out some of the posts. If you need assistance just email us.

Thanks for your respone.
I am mostly doing air brush art which i am embellishing. I will most likely use no more than 12 stones if that many to embellish my images.

In addition i am creating digital images and embellishing them as well with crystals and appliques.(peace signs-hearts (very small ones)

Do you know of a resourse for swarski crystals (loose) and motifs designs in crystals and nailheads-rhinestuds?

In addition Everyone i know has a clam shell press, but the companies that sell heat presses are all reccomending a swing away.
Any thoughts on this?
