Hello! I just joined today - I'm interested in finding out about heat press machines. I'm interested in making T-shirt quilts - have made several in class - but want to do on my own. I want to learn more about heat press machines.

I work full time but like making the T-shirt quilts in my spare time - filling up that empty nest time!:)

Have never done this before, so not sure if I'm doing this right.

Not sure where in Oklahoma you are, but there is a heat transfer supplier called The Paper Ranch located in downtown OKC. If you are close enough, you might be able to drive down to their location and see which heat presses they have on hand. Ask for Sean if you make the trip. One of the main heat press suppliers is also based out of Tulsa as well.

Good luck with your research.

OK, good to know. what name brands do you suggest and do you think I can find a name brand in the price range of $300??
Sorry nothing new in that price range for the big brands. You might even have a tough time finding used for that. You can get a new mighty press for double that amount, I have several of them, they are great units.

Ed @ proworld has a new press for that price range. It is a foreign press but he says they are having good luck with it so far.
