Hello,
I am just getting started working in the graphic design end of a t-shirt printing. I have designed shirts and worked with computer graphics in the past but have no formal training. I live in the Denver, CO area and I enjoy anything that has artistic twist.
I have the opportunity to work on some artwork that will be sent to me by a local company which then needs to be transferred to screens.
My job is to work with the on line file and prepare the screens for the local shirt printing company.
Questions:
- I would like to know how much computer I need (memory, processing speed, etc...)
- which design programs are best for doing this kind of work (illustrator or something else)
- what type of printer will be best for the process.
- I would also like to know if anyone can reccomend a book that is a good all around resorce for someone in my position.
Thanks for your help, and I look forwarding to getting to know you.
