Hey Guys,

Been reading a lot at this awesome forum but finally decided to join. I've always wanted to start a t-shirt/clothing line, and hopefully the people and insight here will be very beneficial to learn the do's and don't's of this business!

All I've done to this point is just mock up designs on the computer, but I'd love to find a place that'll print singles so I can wear them around myself and see what people think of them! Would this be an okay idea? I know there are companies that do one only's, just the cost is obviously much higher.

Glad to have you here.

There are many online stores who provide the service to print on single t-shirt. Like you said, the cost will be higher.(maybe some simple designs could be sorted out and print firstly to save the cost) That would be an costful adventure investment before you decide to order more. But it will be worth as you have enough confidence that the people around you will like your computer designs.(Mock-up)

Thanks for the welcomes eh, it's aboot time I signed up here. :)

Would it be worth just getting a heat press or something so I could print my own designs? It looks like I could get one off eBay for around $200 - $300.

It depends on if you want to get into "printing" or if you want to focus on marketing and selling.

Very true. It would be nice to be able to print my own 'one only's' I guess, but also a higher initial investment. I guess I'll have to do more and more research to see what I really would like to do :)
