Hi all, looking for a comparable blank to the American Apparel Hammer tees. I believe they are somewhere around 7-9oz and slightly box/oversized, 100% cotton.

Any suggestions on which blanks I should give a shot?

Thanks in advance!

Ah! I hadn't thought about it until now, but Gildan can get away with calling their new shirt The Hammer since they bought out AA and so own the name anyway, Doh!

I've never had hands on the AA Hammer, but I've used Beefy-Ts for years and recently got in a few Gildan Hammers to checkout. Most people wouldn't notice a difference between them. The differences that there are the same Hanes vs Gildan differences you see between the Beefy-T and the G2000: collars are sewn in differently, and Gildan is ~3/4" shorter. Else, same cut, same feel.

Alstyle 1301 and there is a Port&Co. blank that is heavyweight ringspun Cotton, but I'm not sure the style#
The 1301 is 6oz but it's not ring spun. Their ring spun is the 1701R but it's only 5.5oz and has limited colors.

Sanmar's Port&Co is only 5.5oz. But Sanmar has a District bouncer tee at 6.6oz. Also limited colors. But hey, who needs anything other than black for a bouncer tee?
