Really? I would pressume other wise because when you leave it open it heats the air on the bottom of the heating element but the silicone would be like an instilator so I belive it would heat faster... I will test it and post my results I gusse...
Kyle...you may be right time wise but again, why heat something that you don't need to. Placing your first shirt on a hot bottom platten will give you nothing but a facial.
We heat up open, but hen we never close the press. Is that bad? I've heard you cab ware out the joints quicker by opening/closing all the time. We have an auto.
I hope you open and close to do the shirts. The "joints" on the upper platten will work for years. I give them a squirt with WD40 once a month to keep them lubed. Just make sure that it does not get on the lupper platten when it's hot.
Haha yeah I do.. We have no safety issues here so just leave it open. Seems hassle to open n close especially cos u gota put the lil screw key in to hold it down.
You mean store it open Im not sure I store mine closed that might be bad because pressure could build up and snap something if the conditions were right.....
