Hello,

First I wanted to say how much I'm enjoying this forum. It's been very helpful!

I have a question and hope someone could answer:

I recently went to my local silk screen guy with some questions regarding silk screening and transfers. He told me besides the regular heat transfers, there is another type of transfers that he sends out to an "outside" guy. The artwork is cut by laser to perfection and the result feels like it was silk screened (to me anyway). There's no set up charge, just a couple of dollar more per shirt to print than the regular transfers.

Does anyone know what this is called? Or have names of company that does this technique?

Many thanks!

Aimee

I think you might be talking about plastisol transfers.

Try searching the heat press forum for plastisol and you'll find some good information.

Vinyl, that's the other term I was trying to think of. Thanks Sac Printer.

I know there were a couple of ways of heat pressing on dark garments that have been discussed, but plastisol was all my mind would come up with.
