Heat Pressing oversized designs

Hello All, Newbie here. I recently purchased a Summa D75 cutter, Hotronix 16X20 Auto-Clam press. I just watched a Josh Ellsworth You-Tube video where he did a shirt with several layers (foils?) and an oversize design that wrapped from the front of the shirt all the way around to the back of the shirt. The video was inspiring but I would like to know more details on how to press oversize designs in alternative locations. Josh did mention turning the platen (sideways?) and pressing twice. Thank you for your help and guidence. David H.
