This may be a pretty silly question but im new to the game, what are heat presses used for? do they have any application for curing plastisol inks?
Cheers
super
Heat presses are used for many different things. For me I use it to pretreat and cure my ink for my dtg printer. It is used for pressing transfers and vinyl also, you can do hotfix rhinestones, and a lot of other stuff. You can use it for applying plastitol transfers, I am not sure about curing plastitol ink though that is screen printed. Hope this helps some
Yeah so its only with transfers really where you use these heat presses, i'm just practising hand screening with plastisol inks. Thought it may be a cheaper way of curing the shirt
If you do a search on how to cure plastitol ink in the search box at the top of the forum, it will bring back many results of alternate ways of curing. I know some people use heat guns, some I think I have even heard of using an oven Of course most people use a dryer tunnel.
