Heat Press Won't Maintain Temp During Transfer

I have a Gecko 15x15 that I bought off Amazon. It's been working fine for months. Now the temp displays "ooo" or it flashed crazy numbers during a press. Worst of all, it doesn't maintain it's temp during the press. I start out at 400 and after 90 seconds, it's down to 350 and I have to wait for it to warm up again.

Has anyone had similar problems? Thanks....Patty

Sounds like a heating element issue. If it's under warranty, send it back. That shouldn't happen after only a few months.

What you can also do is close the press for a minute after it heats up to heat the bottom platen because that will act like a heat sink until it warms up enough to not suck the heat off the upper platen.

Sounds like a controller issue. Might need to be replaced. The temperature will drop when pressing but not that much.
