i recognize that it can be used with dye-sub, as per our last foray into this arena

but it is mainly used for inkjet, as there are papers made specifically for dye-sub
plus we are not in the dye-sub forum, which leads me to conclude the op is using inkjet

are you saying jpss is a superior dye-sub paper?

from your link:
We recommend pigment inks for best washability...
from heatpress nation:
A: You can use Dye Inkjet Ink too but it won't be as durable. We highly recommend using pigment based inkjet ink for maximum quality.

No, I'm not recommending JPSS as a superior dyesub paper, I was just pointing out that it can be used with sublimation inks as well as dye and pigment inks, which is something often overlooked by users of JPSS.

I'll be honest and admit that I mainly use it on drawstring bags which are rarely, if ever, washed.

Maybe pigment inks are the best of the three methods regarding washability but I'm not in a position to try them as I don't have a pigment printer. Has anyone tried JPSS using both sublimation and pigment inks and done a comparison?

50/50 is less likely to crack than cotton especially when the transfer is cold peeled. JPSS has polymer window on pastel.
