heat press with hoover funtion worth it?

I am buying a DTG printer and need a heat press and I would like to know if the hoover function really makes a noticable difference in clarity/quality? Also the extra time the hoover function uses offset the gain in clarity/quality?

I can buy a cheap $ press vs. an expensive press and I would like some experienced DTG people to give me their input.
Thanks!

Hover..lol is diffidently worth it.. we have two DK20 w/auto pop up and decided to get the Hotronix Hover Press and once we got it figured it out it was great.

but the DK20 are workhorses..we just got the Hotronix so don't yet. but the DK20 heat stays consistent and works great 8-12 hours a day.

In DTG you do not want to skimp out on the heat press.. a single black shirt can take up to 6 presses if you have uneven heat or pressure your quality will suffer

The old expression "you get what you pay for" really applies with regards to heat presses for direct to garment use. You need a high quality press so that the heat is even and accurate across the entire heat platen. A cheap heat press does not offer you that. You will experience washability issues with the printed shirts you sell your customers and the cost of returns will quickly surpass any savings you had with a cheap unit.
