Heat press - wide vs deep

I'm just getting started and am buying my first heat press - it comes either 16 wide x 20 deep OR 16 deep x 20 wide. Which one is better? I will mainly be pressing t-shirts.

I was also wondering if you are applying the transfer close to the neckline, does the bulkiness of the neckline affect how hard you can press? Another situation would be if you were putting a transfer on an infant's romper, does the thick part where the shoulders overlap get in the way?

We prefer 16 wide by 20 deep as its easier to lay the shirts on for us.

I think 16 wide by 20 deep is the more popular press layout we sell.

I've used the 16" width a number of times but never the full 20" depth.
I am trying to buy a 16wide x 20deep. Why is there only 16deep x 20wide on ebay. Does anyone know were to find this for about $400?
