Ok so I'm very new to this forum and the t shirt printing business. I am currently researching different sites for printers, ink, heat press machines, the differences in the types of printing, just everything. It is very overwhelming! So my questions to the forum are...
1. Where do I even start? Do I buy the printer first or the heat press machine? I want to do basic designs to t shirts to start out and possibly move to other things once I get the hang of it.
2. I see on several posts on here that I should buy at a 16x20 print press machine. That is fine with me. At least I wouldn't have to worry about upgrading the press any time soon. Is that size ok to start out with?
3. I know the difference between DTG and screen print but what exactly is the difference between those 2 and sublimation? Like I said I want to do the basic designs to t shirts to start out. I can't afford the Brother DGT machine($20,000)!
If anyone can give me any pointers they would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to get started on this in like the next week or so to practice so by next year I will be good at it to start a supplemental income.
I really just want to print a design on transfer paper and heat press it onto the shirt. WTBS what type of printer would be best for that and the paper?
I just need some!!!!
Thanks a bunch
