ok so i am going to use a heat press but was wondering about the printers or vinyl cutters.... first i want to know if i can use photoshop this is where im making my designs.... I know i can submit my design and have someone make the heat transfer papers for me but i would like to do it myself thanx!

You can design in Photoshop and open the file in Illustrator and do a Live Trace on the design and Create Outlines on the text. Most cutters work better with vector based programs like Illustrator and CorelDraw.

Some of the cutting can be avoided if you use image clip
