A customer just gave me some vests for emergency responder staff. They say no dryer and no ironing. It feels like a fireproof polyester, but he is supposed to call the mfg tomorrow. Obvriously, I can't use heat press. They want information transferred to these vests. Is there a cold press transfer material for this kind of fabric. If so, where do I get it and how does it apply. Also, how secure is it once applied?:)

I would think you could use vinyl and a heat press for this application. polyester will take temps past 400 degrees without melting. .... JB

I think it's F&M Expressions that has a plastisol transfer for those non-woven bags -- it's pressed at a very low temp, like 250.

What brand of vest? Also, it should have a tag with what material it's made from in it. As stated above, vinyl works really well on saftey vest. I use it on Cornerstone ASI Compliant Class 2 vest all the time.

Hope this helps.
