I have some sheet stock of the hardboard that you can cut yourself and I was considering making some coasters from it because I see hardboard coasters are a standard item in catalogs.
My concern/question is does the water from a glass with ice in it do any damage once it runs over the edge and hits the edge of the hardboard? After all, it's just a paper product. I'd think it would swell over time, but there seems to be a market for hardboard coasters, so this apparently isn't a problem?
Just checking before I start selling things and people start bringing them back to me 3 months from now.
Thanks!
Steve
