I just bought a brand new GX-24 from an online merchant and the lcd display seems to have a defect where it lags and letters look scramble during transition. We have an old GX-24 without the problem. I recorded it on video showing the problem. The first is the new GX-24 and the second is the old GX-24 without the lag.

Any GX-24 owners with similar problem? It has no problem cutting but the unit has a strong smell. Mine looks like it was made in 2012-11-01. And the lcd display didn't come with a plastic film. I think our old one did though.

I would contact the merchant you bought it from since it's brand new

I asked the merchant about it but they didn't want to send out a new one, told me to contact Roland instead. I don't know if it got damaged during shipping or if the display is just defective. At first i thought they sent me a factory reconditioned unit, but i called Roland and gave them the serial number and they said it is a brand new unit.
