I have a question. After 5 years with the GT381 I decided to give up white printing. Reason: No enough demand for it and my white heads are shot. It cost too much cleaning the white tubes over and over and heads are too sensitive and prone to clog if not used enough.

I have been exchanging the white head to the CMYK locations when I lose a color head. The question is: Can I make all 8 heads CMYK? Is there a software (firmware) to allow that? Right now I am running the printer as a 341. White tubes are clean and faulty heads in place.

Brothers just came out with its new GTX printers. Auto recirculating and wet caps. This would help a lot with users like me but I am not ready to gamble again on another 25K machine. I talked with a Brothers rep to see if they have a trade-in program but the response was NO.

I am a commercial printer and T-shirts is just only another product I offer among many other printed products. It is not my primary source of income.

Any suggestions or ideas will be appreciated. I wouldn't mind purchasing 4 heads to convert the printer to dual CMYK but will not to continued struggling with the white ink.

CD, as the white lines have additional features to help maintain white heads, there is no feature to allow for dual cmyk. If you’re located within the US or Canada and this didn't resolve your issue, please give us a 877-4Brother or contact your original dealer if outside these areas.
