Hi Everyone,

This is my first post here..!! I am from India, but came to Canada for my Master's...which i have completed. I have very good idea for a very innovative T-shirt design .. which am sure will be a hit. I am not in a position to disclose it...
I have sources who will manufacture it for me in India at competitive prices...I need some advise on how to start this new venture...by importing it from India to Canada and USA...

Your advise will be greatly appreciated...

Simply put - sell it before you make it. There are 1000's of people with great ideas for designs etc but have no idea the challenge in selling apparel. If you do not have the sells and marketing skill you will struggle no matter how great the design concept.

Thanks for the advise....Mark...! I truly understand the importance of selling first...and then making it...But I wanted some advise on how to sell it....This design and the small captions which I plan to bring will be a big hit among Indians and Punjabi population...who are quite in number in Canada and USA...this might sound over enthusiastic and overconfidence..but I am sure It wont be a problem with selling the T shirt design.... My question and doubts are whom to approach for selling my Design...eg.. Big stores...like Zellers and Sears (in Canada)...or someone else...I hope I am clear in expressing my queries..
