Gray is Printing in green

No matter what I do, in all my graphics, whenever there is gray, it ALWAYS prints in green. I have tried everything to fix this, and nothing works.

Also, it is not possible to apply an underbase to vector graphics in FastArtist?

Hello, and welcome to the forums!
Hopefully you'll find the help you need here, as well as helpful tips and tricks!

Try making sure there is not color profile attached to your artwork before you import into FastArtist.

What is your process for making art and printing it with your t-jet?

What you see is due to the fact that your gray is being generated by the mixture of CMY colors instead of K (Black) ink. Try using a spot color of gray (or a percentage of black)

It is not possible. What you have to do, is to rasterize your vector artwork in order to have an underbase (in FastArtist).
I certainly hope your problem has been solved by now, but since I too have had this problem a few times, and the responses didn't address the solution, I wanted to post it.

Reinstall Fast Artist and your grays printing muddy greens is solved, its as simple as that.

I use underbase with vectors constantly.

The underbase is a solid white, not shades of gray like with a raster, but you maintain those nice clean vector lines of the vector this way.

Simply drag and drop the underbase selction to the color you want to underbase.
Just like Marykay said, you can drag and drop your underbase on the vector itself or on the image color palette to your right. Your underbase for vector is under the color palette at the bottom. You have a choice to add underbase to any color you want. You will really only have to use no underbase and underbase. This should be in your manual. I usually add underbase to all the colors and drag and drop no underbase over black when working with vectors.

I hate working with vectors because of some colors not matching. Even though I create a lot of artwork in Illustrator, I export it as a PNG at 300dpi with a transparent background when printing with t-jet. The good thing about PNG is that it recognizes transparencies and it holds the vector quality really well (sharp lines). Just make sure and size your artwork to the printable size before exporting.
lazo, I do the same thing - rather under base it all than miss one color thats needed. I prefer vectors and I don't have problems with color matching in most cases - although sometimes.

I did not know that fastartist recognized the transparencies with .png though - so thanks a million for that tip.
