Got a Graphtec CE5000 in.

The cutter makes this small L shaped cut before it starts cutting a job. Also does this before it makes a test cut.

Problem is when cutting a job. This L shaped cut usually ends up being in part of my design. I read somewhere this thing is called a "tick" or something?

Also using their export out of Corel Draw to cut. I noticed not all of the image transfers to Cut Master. From my observation, the parts of my image that are "grouped" don't transfer. How do you stop this from happening?

Have to ungroup them first before they will transfer can easily get forgotten and end up part of your image not getting cut out.

Why go through the stress of exporting from Corel Draw, with the Cutting Master plugin, you can print directly Corel, have you installed the plugin and tried cutting from there it's relatively easy, hope this helps.

I also have a GCC. And with that it was easy, just copy from Corel and paste in Greatcut. But the Graphtec setup won't let you do that.

I've not tried figuring out how to cut direct from Corel yet as it looked to be a pain. As some Corel files have 100 objects on the page. So not sure how to cut just what I want. I assume I have to move it on the page where I want it to cut at and have no other objects in the file. Other thing is with the cutting programs, I can move it to the corner, and it positions itself to the edge of the corner automatically. In Corel, it doesn't do that, so not sure if it will cut the whole thing even if I accidently have part of the image hanging off the edge of the paper.

Right now, can't use the Graphtec because of this L shaped cut at the start of every cut job as that cut mark ends up being in part of one of the objects in my design.

Looked through the manual and can't find anything about this L shaped cut mark it does at the start of every job and test cut.

The L shaped mark allows the cutter to know the orientation of the blade angle prior to making its first cut. I am not sure how to disable this. It shouldn't be making this cut in your design however. It should be making the cut in the weed area.
Maybe my design isn't setup correctly?

But my design has a bunch of different objects in it. i.e. square, circles, text.

It does the L shaped cut outside the first object it cuts. But then as it cuts the rest of the objects, one of the objects end up being where the L shaped cut was made.

I guess it should be doing the L shaped cut outside the entire job, but is making the L shaped cut outside just the first object it cuts. And then as it cuts, you risk a future object being cut out where the L shaped cut was previously made at.

It sounds to me it's the Tangential setting. It is controlled through the control panel. And not adjustable via Cutting Master.
Hers an explanation of it:

The Secrets of Tangential

Hope this helps.

Read through that and I don't think it is that.

The cutter does a small "L" shaped cut before the start of the job and start of a test cut. This "L" cut later on ends up falling in part of my overall design for some reason.

Almost seems like it doesn't do this "L" shaped cut outside the entire job, but just does the "L" shaped cut outside the first object it cuts.

I just looked it's at the bottom of page 6-4...

Thanks,
Jeron
Thanks. I'll review the solution it has.

Does anyone know why the cutter doesn't start cutting an object on the "starting node" you have set to in the graphic?

I noticed it looks to start cutting at whatever node it wants for some reason. For each object in my graphic, I pick out a node I want it to start/stop cutting from.

The GCC cutter I have would start cutting at the "starting node" for each object in my graphic.
