hi I have a customers graphic in illustrator it is compressed I need to print it from corelx4
I am getting a message to resave file decompressed . how do I do this. I am printing on gt541. thanks . I have two hrs, to resolve this issue. Dam:confused:

You should be able to open in AI then export it or just save it as a different file name
Send me the file if you want and I'll look at it.

thanks for your prompt response the file is on a disc and I dont have illustrator. but I have photoshop image ready so I opened and saved it there then imported it into corel . it worked.thanks again.Sam:)
Is it in a zip or Rar, 7's ?
What platform? I'm on a mac have, Illus CS4, have quite a few different compression app's, be happy to try for you. I know of no way to compress a file using straight Illustrator.

Does it have placed tiff's? If so perhaps they are compressed in photoshop as a LZW, ZIP or JPEG.. if so, open in Photoshop save as a tif, and when the dialog comes up, choose "uncompressed". Some programs don't like the lzw compression. Then update the image in the illustrator file..
