Goof Proof feels rubbery

So we tested our first transfer last night. While the end product was crisp, light weight feel the transfer itself did have a rubbery feel to it. It was not thick, just the opposite. I was pleased but just wanted to confirm that's how the goof proof is supposed to feel?

I was hoping for a more of an actual Screen print feel to it.

Transfer was from Transfer Express, on a purple shirt 50/50 Dry Blend and transfer was all white.

I use TE goofproof when the design has no large unbroken areas of print, or it feels rubbery. I took some trial and error to find out which designs worked best goofproof. Possibly hot split would work for you.

We did a bit more testing and increased the pressure. It seemed to have helped. I am also looking into Hot Split, but I'm concerned about using them on a dark shirt. Would that matter? Our shirts are 50/50 dry blend.
TE product Hot Split Screen Printed Transfers | Transfer Express There are many other hot split manufacturers.
Yeah I read that, but was just wondering about using it on a dark colored shirt. I'll just have to press the sample they sent me on a shirt to get a true feel for it.
Is using vinyl not an option since it's all white?

We didn't want a rubbery plastic feel to it. More of a soft feel.
