We are going to All American in P.A. soon and would appreciate any advise from those that have been through the training. Anyone with tips to help make the most from our short time in training? Is there a specific issue with dtg, pretreat or the machine that anyone thinks the most time should be spent learning and practicing? There have been a lot of new owners recently, so tips from other newbies definitely welcome. Thanks

Adam,
Welcome to NeoFamily!
I was waiting new NeoFamily's reply but they must be busy. I hope someone will chip in soon. My tips are
1. Choose hotel: please discuss with Tigers before you book. Often cheap and bad choice ruin Philly image. We moved many NeoFamily with our expenses. Because AA does not want To see NeoFamily pay hotel twice for one trip. Comfort inn hotel, bridge view room next to Ben Franklin bridge is good choice too. Stay in downtown. Safe and nice.
2. Just be yourself and relax. 100% graduation guaranteed. We will hand cup you until you and us both satisfied. Not in kinky way. No bed here.
3. Please do not miss Peter. My office is very next to training room. Your private bathroom is there also.
4. If you are beer lover do not hasitate to help yourself during class and lunch and after class with me. All Hard liqueur available also. Pre order welcome. If you are smoker/ cigar we have room for you too but it is not nice habit right? I know I am bad.
5. Anything you ask you will have it.
Cheers! Beers are on me always.

Hey there, you are in for a treat.

When I went, I stayed at Comfort Inn Downtown/Historic Area. If you look on google it was like $90/night or so. It is right at the foot of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, kinda cool. It was with in walking distance of the area everyone at All American suggested to go eat. I would definitely suggest renting a car. I thought I was going to take the bus/train or taxi. That would of ended up costing more! The numbers I was getting from taxi/shuttle companies to take me from the All American building to the airport were around $90 one way.

Really take in everything they are doing at All American, I truly believe they have the footings in place for some major innovations and game changers. If you have questions- ask. You will be delighted with the in depth answers you get. Even if you don't have questions, make up a random basic one. The techs know their stuff, and it is impressive and comforting.

They cover SO much in the training, as long as you are able to soak it in. Your questions will probably be minimal, they walk you through everything and then "test" you(I think that was the first test I was somewhat nervous about since 11th grade!). You will know your stuff when you leave.

The two things(well really only one I guess) I can think of that are important to cover there are;

-If you are not buying a pre treatment machine, and have not pre treated before- try as many as they will let you or until you are completely comfortable with it.

-Get as much insight on how to tweak your colors for a good output in the NeoRip program. Now this is somewhat limited, because you should have most of your art done in Photoshop or Corel Draw before you bring it into the RIP. I am rather confident that they don't offer Photoshop or Corel training! But I wish I would of asked a bit more on whether there are simple basic tweaks that can be done in the RIP to achieve the best results.

Have fun!

Adam, I'm confident that AA will cover everything you need to know in order to help you operate your new NeoFlex (including tips for pre-treatment, RIP settings, curing, etc).

Take notes, ask questions, and listen to what they (AA) have to say. They want you to be successful, so take advantage of the time you are with them.

Also ... I'd pay close attention to the instructions regarding how to take care of your new printer (maintenance, cleaning, replacing small parts, etc). You are spending good money for a great machine, but YOU (or one of your employees) are the person who will be responsible for keeping it running smoothly. If you take good care of it, I'm confident it will take good care of you.

Good luck, and have fun in Philly.

Go Flyers!

I too am going to be going to training within the next two months. I just bought a neoflex today and I am pretty damn excited! I realize these machines are high maintenance but I have reviewed all of the maintenance videos on YouTube and being a pretty high tech person it really doesn't seem too difficult. I bought the viper one also, but thanks for the advice on pretreating while I am at training because I heard that i should really know how to pretreat manually to understand it fully before using an auto treater. Does anyone recommend or know if it is ok to video tape some of the training? Or do most just take notes with a pad and paper? Thanks!

Videoing is a great idea because you won't remember everything you're taught on the day.

I've uploaded quite a few videos on NeoFlex maintenance - search on Youtube for datasafeuk

Have fun, you've got the best DTG printer on the planet :D

You'll be fine. They cover everything you'll need to succeed and they are just a phone call away. Everyone that works for AA is very nice. Spend some time with Peter. He got me so jazzed after talking with him that I was ready to conquer the world. After you leave keep him in mind while you are building up your business...
You made a great choice with the Neoflex Printer. I've had mine since Dec of 2011 and it's a great machine. Make the image on computer and print them, no hassles or heart breaks. Maintenance will be second nature once you get used to it, it's very easy and nothing to be scared or worry about.

I just went in for training last week. It was pretty much as everyone else has already described it. I had some questions written down in my notebook but everything was answered without me even needing to ask them. Day 1 your shown what to do and day 2 you get to practice all you were shown on day 1 and review anything you need extra help with. Everyone from All American was great. I had a great time overall and left there pumped up about printing some shirts.

Also as for filming the training I really doubt it would be a problem. One of the other guys in my class had a camera with him and our trainer made sure he got pics of anything important.

Thanks, good to hear everyone has had such great experiences. I must say, I was pretty damn close to pulling the trigger on an mpower about 2 months ago and I'm pretty happy I didn't with some of the more recent posts I've seen about anajet and a couple about the mpower in particular. Everything from Neo users seems positive for the most part. I've just got to figure out my work situation so I can have some time to market and maintain this baby.
